What We Do
Based in Washington, D.C., we’re part of a growing and powerful ecosystem of ed tech innovators, policy experts and decision makers during what can only be described as a transformational moment for higher education. We are working to increase transparency in college costs, empower students to make more fully informed decisions about financing their education and advance innovative models for success in career school training.

Chief among these projects is our work to continuously enhance College Abacus, the “Kayak.com of college cost comparison” – a free online tool that allows college-bound students and their families to calculate and compare personalized, bottom line costs across 5,600 colleges in one, centralized place. To further expand the reach and impact of College Abacus, we have developed and now operate a suite of complementary partner tools: Pell Abacus, which is designed to address the unique challenges facing low-income students applying to college, and Spanish language versions of the two tools, College Ábaco and Pell Ábaco.

As part of our work to support ECMC Group’s overarching mission of helping students succeed and achieve their academic and professional goals, we are also focused on seeding and nurturing creative approaches to improving student outcomes across our national network of Everest and WyoTech career college campuses.
