Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA)
Mission
The Muscular Dystrophy Association's mission is to foster and promote the alleviation of conditions of persons with muscular dystrophy and neuromuscular disorders through support of basic and applie research seeking the causes of and effective treatments for these diseases. MDA believes the medical management and day-to-day well-being of those it serves are also vitally important and, accordingly, provides a broad range of patient and community services in tandem with its support of potentially lifesaving research.
About Us
The money we raise will sponsor local families living with muscle-wasting diseases by providing funds for the repair of durable medical equipment; support groups; clinic visits at OHSU and/or Shriner's Children's Hospital; medical research and a week long summer camp designed for kids with limited mobility.
