The Little Willie Center

About Us

The Little Willie Center was organized in 1990 as a grass roots effort to address the needs of Latchkey children, whose parents work, seek employment, or attend school and as a result, must leave their children home alone.

The center meets the needs of the children ages 3-17 by providing after school Tutoring and Mentoring services, Monday through Friday from 2:30pm – 6:30pm during the school year and a Summer Camp from 10:00am – 2:00pm with off-site recreational activities.

Our mission statement is Empowering Our Youth, Rebuilding Our Community and Reestablishing Our Family Structure. Services we offer are Tutoring, Mentoring, Nutritious Meals, Transporation, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, Crown Financial, Reading Enrichment, Nutrition/Healthy Living, Survival Skills, Parents In Training, LWC Ensemble, Praise Dance Minisitry and Summer Camp to name a few. We are in need of prayers, volunteers and sponsors

With a large number of children and an ever-increasing interest in the Center, our facility is outgrowing its capacity and regretfully, we have to turn children away. Children should always receive the affection, nutrition and support they deserve, especially if there is a place and people who are willing to provide it. It is with that philosophy that the Little Willie Center is raising funds to move to a larger facility, increase the amount of food and learning materials available, and ultimately, improve the livelihood and outlooks of as many children as possible.

The Little Willie Center is a recognized 501(c)(3) not-for-profit charitable organization, and your donations are fully tax deductible. Please donate to the Center and help us achieve our goals of updating our facilities and keeping more children educated and healthy.
