San Antonio for Growth on the Eastside (SAGE)

SAGE champions investments that improve the quality of life for individuals, families, neighborhoods and businesses on San Antonio’s Eastside. Our four principles are:

1. To advocate for efficient, sustainable growth for San Antonio's Eastside
2. To advance small business development
3. To maintain and promote the area's history and culture
4. To provide innovative, progressive solutions to Eastside challenges

SAGE was founded to advance economic development and community revitalization in San Antonio’s Eastside — a community with a proud history and culture that has also been challenged by disinvestment and concentrated poverty. Since its founding, SAGE has worked to advocate for efficient and sustainable growth for San Antonio’s Eastside; advance small business development; maintain and promote the area’s history and culture; and provide innovative and progressive solutions to Eastside challenges. SAGE remains focused on championing investments that improve the quality of life for individuals, families, neighborhoods, and businesses on San Antonio’s Eastside.

Designated a Promise Zone in 2014 that will end in 2024, SAGE is seeking a new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) who can build capacity and lead the organization into the future with a vibrant, innovative and forward-thinking perspective and attitude, as well as tactfully navigate the challenges and changes that exist in an area that seeks to be revitalized while maintaining close ties to its rich history and culture.
