Built in 1890 as apart of the original Elitch Zoological Gardens in Denver, CO many legandary performers graced its stage. It closed in 1991 after celebrating its 100yr anniversary, before the amusmement park moved to Lodo in 1995. The Historic Elitch Theatre Foundation (501.3c non-profit) was organized to maintain, fundraise, and restore the building for operations.
