North Platte Catholic Community Food Pantry

North Platte, NE

  • Mission

Rooted in Christ's call to serve, the North Platte Catholic Community Food Pantry shares food for those in need. We nourish body and spirit, fostering a compassionate, faith-filled community where no one goes hungry.

    About Us

Our pantry was established in 1998 as the St. Patrick/Holy Spirit Food Pantry. We changed our name to the North Platte Catholic Community Food Pantry in 2017 to reflect the fact that all three Catholic churches in North Platte, (St. Patrick's, Holy Spirit, and Elizabeth Ann Seton), contribute volunteers and financial support to our pantry. What began as a small grocery delivery service has evolved into a large community food pantry that is open to the public three days per week. We have formed valuable partnerships with such entities as: the Food Bank for the Heartland in Omaha, and our local Walmart retail store, Walmart Distribution Center, Pepsi-Co, Chesterman Coca-Cola and Bimbo Bread. We would also like to acknowledge the wonderful contributions of the following local businesses and organizations: Lincoln County Feed Yard/Tricia Scholz, Mid-America Bio Energy and Commodities, Phelps Family Dentistry, Masonite Corporation, Curves, U-Save Pharmacy/Bill Snodgrass, The Sports Shoppe/Tim O'Connor, U.S. Postal Service, North Platte Kiwanis Clubs, North Platte Rotary Clubs, Elks Club, Boy Scouts of America, North Platte Public Schools, and St. Patrick's Catholic Schools.
