Horizons Greater Washington
Horizons Greater Washington is a summer and year-round enrichment program offering academic support for low-income public school students. Horizons develops public-private partnerships between independent and public school communities to provide academic, cultural, and recreational programs designed to empower economically disadvantaged students to realize their full potential. Horizons is committed to the development of the whole child by providing experiences that build problem-solving skills, foster awareness of community responsibility, instill respect for oneself and others and encourage a life-long interest in learning. Students join the program the summer after kindergarten and return each summer until high school.
