Riverdale RiverFest

About Us

Riverdale RiverFest is an annual community festival to celebrate the Hudson River and support the development of a greenway for pedestrians and cyclists along the Hudson River in the Bronx. This would link existing sections of the Hudson River Valley Greenway in Manhattan and Westchester County, and so form a vital part of a future greenway stretching from the southern tip of Manhattan to Upstate New York.

Riverdale RiverFest takes place every June, along the Hudson River on the grounds of the College of Mount Saint Vincent in the northwest Bronx. The festival is a fun afternoon of outdoor entertainment and environmental education for the community. Participants will have opportunities to take boat rides on the Hudson River, listen to music by local musicians, enjoy an eclectic variety of food, and to learn about the Hudson River Greenway, and the history, biology and geology of the area. RiverFest is produced by the Friends of the Hudson River Greenway in the Bronx, along with a coalition of residents and community groups; admission is free.
