  • Mission

NK FISH (Friends in Service to Humanity) is a non profit 501 (c)(3) organization whose purpose is to provide transportation to medical, dental, and social service appointments for residents of North Kingstown and southern Exeter who do not have access to alternative transportation.

    About Us

FISH is run entirely by volunteers. Telephone workers generally work one day every other week to answer phones and coordinate rides with drivers. Drivers work on their own schedules to transport clients in their own vehicles and are reimbursed 50 cents per mile for travel expenses. FISH was started in 1965 in North Kingstown by a group of individuals who got together to help their neighbors who needed rides.
