St. Cloud Technical & Community College (SCTCC) overview: SCTCC is located in St. Cloud, Minnesota, one of the fastest growing communities in Minnesota with a population of over 110,000. St. Cloud is located approximately one hour northwest of Minneapolis and St. Paul on the Mississippi River and serves as a regional hub for arts, entertainment, and several strong industries such as manufacturing and healthcare. SCTCC is part of the Minnesota State Colleges and Universities (MNSCU) system, the largest single provider of higher education in the state of Minnesota, made up of 31 institutions, including 24 two-year colleges and seven state universities.
SCTCC is the college of choice for quality career, technical and transferable education, focused on highly-skilled employment and life-long learning opportunities in the region and offers career majors in the areas of Construction, Manufacturing and Transportation Technologies, Business, Information Technologies, and Health and Human Services. SCTCC became a comprehensive community college in 2010, offering the Associate in Arts degree in liberal arts and sciences and three degrees online in addition to its extensive and valuable technical programs. The college grants certificates, diplomas, and associate degrees. Enrollment at the college has nearly doubled in the last decade, making it one of the fastest growing colleges in the state. Current annual headcount is 10,000. Placement rates are consistently between 90 and 100 percent with 97 percent of graduates staying in the state of Minnesota.
