  • About Us

Street Wise Arts is a 501c3 nonprofit arts organization based in Boulder, CO. Our mission is to create mural projects, community events and youth education programs that enhance the urban environment, amplify diversity and engage people in social justice and dialogue. Our core values are advocating for equity and representation for artists, cross sector collaborations and contributing to a diverse cultural landscape. “Street Wise Boulder” is our annual mural festival created to amplify public art through the lens of social justice. We've installed over 100 murals in Boulder since 2015, through our mural festival, community and youth projects. We prioritize representation for BIPOC, emerging, and LGBTQIA artists and invite local, national and international artists to participate in our festival. We bring art into neighborhoods including underserved and hidden pockets of Boulder as well as in the heart of the City centers and in the arts district. We love collaborating with organizations to advance social issues through the arts while providing opportunities for artists. We create programming for students and youth with our professional artists as well as offer community workshops and events. Our programming has provided a launch pad for artists and a model to support the intersection of Art & Activism.
