    Led by people who have survived solitary or had family members inside, the New York Campaign for Alternatives to Isolated Confinement (CAIC)’s #HALTsolitary campaign is a grassroots campaign pushing to end solitary confinement, promote more humane and effective alternatives, and build on these changes – and their pursuit – to help dismantle the racist punishment paradigm and the carceral state.
