  • Mission

Midlands Mediation Center helps people, organizations, businesses and the community resolve conflicts, improve relationships and strengthen community. Our vision is a community in harmony. Our values are safety, collaboration, community, respect and equity. We help people create their solutions for conflicts, disputes and disagreements. "Welcome To The Table", you bring the conflict and MMC provides the tools, skills and resources to assist you in collaborating to create a mutually agreeable solution to the conflict. If an agreement is not attained, individuals leave with the tools and/or resources they need to manage their conflict.

    About Us

The Midlands Mediation Center has connections with the community since 1998, the Midlands Mediation Center (formerly the Community Mediation Center) has provided affordable mediation, facilitation, training and dialogue services to Midlands’ residents. It was the first community-based mediation center of its kind in the state and remains the only one in central South Carolina. The center was founded as a result of an extensive grassroots effort by neighborhood associations, community groups, and attorney organizations seeking better ways to address conflicts in our community.

The organization supports schools, the courts, local businesses, neighborhoods and nonprofit organizations. For 24 years, the Midlands Mediation Center has consistently followed its mission of helping individuals and organizations to resolve conflicts, improve relationships, and strengthen communities by offering direct mediation services and facilitating a variety of conflict resolution trainings.
