    The Mental Health Association in Talbot County is a non-profit organization serving all five of Maryland's Mid-Shore counties: Kent, Queen Anne's, Talbot, Caroline, and Dorchester. The mission of the MHATC is to promote mental health, prevent mental illness, and improve the care and treatment of individuals who have mental illness through programs of advocacy, public education, and community service. The board members and volunteers accept the responsibility to empower and encourage families and individuals of the Mid-Shore to recognize and manage the mental health issues in their lives. The MHATC also provides several opportunities for area professionals for continuing education. The MHATC's website provides a detailed list of professional resources and information for the people of the Mid-Shore area.
