Ali Boak for NY State Senate

Like all of us, I wear many hats: I’m a wife and a mom; a former town official and an advocate for children; a homeowner, taxpayer, and citizen. I want only the best for my family and our community, but these days it feels as though it’s falling further and further out of reach for too many people. And when I look at the people who should be helping us, like our elected representatives in Albany, I see little hope for a change. Instead, I feel a sense of deep disappointment with Albany’s endless culture of political corruption, dishonesty, and shady backroom deals.

I’m running to represent the 40th district in the New York State Senate, which encompasses parts of Dutchess, Putnam, and Westchester Counties, because I believe it’s time to restore the public’s faith in our elected officials. I know we can do better. I’m done waiting for someone else to deliver solutions to the challenges our families face every day; if we’re going to address these problems it’s going to take all of us, working together, to find common solutions. More than anything, what you’ll get in me is a problem solver, not a politician.
