HOPE’s mission is to empower women and children to believe in themselves, learn new skills and to use these skills to live their best possible lives.
HOPE was founded in 1996 in response to a growing trend of violence and poverty, particularly among women and children in the Greater Gardner area of MA. Over time, HOPE’s activities coalesced around two core programs: HOPE for Women, a job training and economic self-sufficiency program for women, and HOPE for Kids, an afterschool and summer tutoring and mentoring program serving 200 youth in grades k-12.
