The First Tee of Greater Chicago
The First Tee is an international youth development initiative of the World Golf Foundation and is supported by the leading organizations in golf. The First Tee of Greater Chicago, a 501 (c) 3 organization, is one of nearly two hundred chapters located throughout the country and in five international locations dedicated to impacting the lives of young people by providing educational programs that build character, instill life-enhancing values and promote healthy choices through the game of golf. We reach young people through our Life Skills Experience at locations that include Chicago Park District golf facilities, Foss Park GC (North Chicago), Glenwoodie GC (Glenwood) and Cog Hill (Lemont). Additionally, an estimated 13,000 elementary school children, K-5, will be introduced to golf and character education programming through The First Tee National School Program at schools across the Chicagoland area.
