Cooking Matters Ontario, Oregon

Cooking Matters is a national cooking-based nutrition education program that teaches low-income families how to eat better on a budget. Cooking Matters in Ontario, Oregon is housed at Oregon Food Bank's Southeast Services Branch in downtown Ontario, Oregon. We bring the Cooking Matters program to the families of the Western Treasure Valley Region, offering food shopping and healthy cooking skills that will benefit them for years to come.

Our fall 2011 class schedule:

1) OCDC

Class Dates: September 21 – October 26

Class times: Wednesdays, 6-8 pm

Curriculum: Cooking Matters para adultos / Spanish speaking class

2) Harvest House Missions

Class orientation day (volunteers only, no class participants): Thursday, October 6^th

3) The Family Place

Class orientation day (volunteers only, no class participants): Tentatively set for Friday, October 21^st

Class dates: October 24 – November 28^th

Class time: Mondays, 3-5pm

Curriculum: Cooking Matters for Adults
