  • About Us

Blue Heron Headwaters Conservancy is a private, non-profit, community supported, citizen run organization with 50 years experience in preserving open space and wetlands in northern Oakland County.

We have preserved 1,500 acres in six townships and two counties, with parcels ranging from a half acre to 250 acres. Since 1972, our mission has been to conserve the woods, fields, streams and other natural resources in the headwaters area of the Clinton, Shiawassee, Huron and Flint Rivers.
