To work proactively and collaboratively to identify and address the needs of our diverse community. Our goal is to assist individuals to achieve thier potential and improve the quality of life.

    About Us

The YWCA of York was founded in 1891 as a place for women to come together to learn, strengthen their minds and bodies, and advocate for social change. Today, the YWCA responds to the needs of busy families with innovative programs, flexible scheduling, and affordable fees. We are proud of our tradition of promoting wellness and dignity for all people and continue to work for an end to violence and discrimination of all kinds. In 2004, the YWCA served over 3,000 individuals.
