About Us

Warffemius-Seidler Baden-Brandywine Post 381 was born on Jan 7, 2013. The newest Post in the state of Maryland.

Warffemius-Seidler Baden-Brandywine Post 381 prides itself on the work we will do in the community, which gives life to our motto “Serving the Youth and Veterans of Prince Georges county.” Our members actively search out opportunities for the Post to aid Youth, Veterans, and Active Duty Military members and their families wherever they may be found.

The American Legion was chartered by Congress in 1919 as a patriotic, mutual-help, wartime veterans organization. A community-service organization which now numbers nearly 3 million members—men and women—in nearly 15,000 American Legion Posts worldwide.

The American Legion cherishes four great principles: Justice, Freedom, Democracy and Loyalty. We pledge our service to veterans, especially the disabled, the distressed, and their widows and orphans. The cause of service to community, state and nation is closely guarded and the opportunity to serve is offered to all members.
