Sims-Fayola International Academy Denver is currently in the process of developing our charter for a Fall 2012 opening as a part of the Denver Public School System in the Far Northeast Region. The goal of our website at this time is to keep you informed on our progress, dates of community meetings, and to provide general information about the school.
The mission of Sims-Fayola International Academy Denver is to graduate globally competent college ready urban males who posses the knowledge, skills, and habits of mind to succeed and contribute in a 21st Century global environment.
The vision of Sims-Fayola International Academy is to prepare urban males to become creative and innovative thinkers and responsible world citizens through international awareness, competence, and a global perspective of excellence.
It’s no secret that Black and Hispanic males that have been traditionally underserved in education are struggling in our schools as they are currently structured. These students of color are seriously underrepresented among the students who perform in the top 25th percentile of students in elementary, secondary, and postsecondary education in the United States.
