Palmer Land Trust
The Palmer Land Trust is a not-for-profit, 501(c)(3) organization that works to conserve and protect ecologically, historically, and culturally significant landscapes in southeastern Colorado and the Pikes Peak Region. Palmer’s mission is: permanently safeguarding the heritage of southeastern Colorado communities through voluntary land preservation.
Palmer Land Trust is one of the oldest, largest, and most accomplished regional land trusts operating in the State of Colorado. It has permanently protected nearly 70,000 acres of open space, wildlife habitat, and productive agricultural land. Of its current inventory of 92 protected properties, Palmer Land Trust is a partner with the City of Colorado Springs, the City of Manitou Springs, El Paso County, and Teller County on a total of eleven publicly accessible open space areas.
