About Us

The Oakland Public Education Fund (OPEF) is a local education fund that secures and manages resources for Oakland public schools in order to support its vision of equity: that all students have the opportunity to achieve excellence. We provide services in community outreach and marketing, grants and donor development, professional learning, and leadership, operational, and financial coaching. OPEF services are designed to help schools access and manage resources to meet needs that are typically underfunded in our public schools. OPEF has a team of ten staff members, and a range of consultants. In the next year, OSF will serve 40 schools, the Oakland Unified School District (OUSD), and more than 14,000 students and families.
