Northwest Panthers Youth Organization

The Northwest Panthers Youth Organization is designed for youth between the ages of 4-25 years old. We are affiliated with the Potomac Valley AAU Unlimited Football League, an independent football league not affiliated with any recreation centers. We are based in NW/NE Washington, D.C. but, our doors are open to interested parties from any quadrant of Washington, D.C., as well as Maryland and Virginia residents.

Northwest Panthers (NWP) was established on February 26, 2010, as a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization. Our mission as the Northwest Panthers is to represent the youth sports industry by advancing the values of dedication, determination, and discipline through organized sports and eventually expanding to the performing arts.

Our goal is to educate and develop LEADERS OF TOMORROW while changing the way children in the inner city are viewed by society. We are here to redefine the meaning of a “Scholar Athlete”, by aiming for scholastic achievement first and foremost. The Northwest Panthers is in the process of creating very strong links to its local community and surrounding areas by providing five age group football teams, three age group cheerleading teams, and other various support groups for our neighborhood children, adolescents, and their parents.

We want to launch our P.A.W.S (Panthers Achieving Winning and Succeeding) Program September 12, 2011. P.A.W.S. includes Monday tutoring, mentorship, various workshops (i.e. Girl talk/Boy talk, Relationships: Parents, School, and Society, Say No To Drugs, etc.). NWP aims to provide an outlet for young adults from the ages 15 to 25 who want to better themselves either through college, armed services, and all other avenues by giving opportunities to earn community service hours, resume building workshops, interview etiquette workshops, and so much more!
