    Community Missions provides integrated human services that meet people where they are and help them find and elevate their place in the world. CMI is dedicated to restoring the basic fundamental human needs of shelter, food, clothing and safety to all persons and families in crisis. Our help provides hope and assists beyond their immediate need with empowering individuals through respect and caring to use adversity to gain personal accountability and self-sufficiency in a dignified capacity.

    About Us

    • Community Missions of Niagara Frontier, Inc. (CMI) was founded in 1925, as a result of the Billy Sunday Revival's message of soup, soap, and salvation. Since that time CMI has been providing hope, help, and opportunity through a wide range of services for those in need. We offer crisis services such as a 42-bed homeless shelter, community kitchen, food pantry, clothes closet, furniture, and appliance give away, as well as linkages to other service providers. CMI crisis Services are offered at no charge. For nearly 100 years, the mission's services have grown to meet the needs of many marginalized populations. These services include residential a community-based programs for girls at risk, a parole re-entry program, a residential AIDS/HIV program. These services provide compassion and support to assist in making sustainable transitions leading to both stability and independence. In 2021, CMI provided:
    • 10,557 Nights of Shelter
    • 174,497 Meals
    • 1,442 visits to the clothing closet
    • 45,497 care days in Recovery Services
    • 72,658 care days in housing services
    • 526 opportunities for faith development
