About Us

Raheem (raheem.org) builds infrastructure for the future of community crisis response.

In 2017, we created the nation’s first independent, online police reporting service. We wanted to hold cops accountable and make every place safe for all Black people.

Nearly 2,700 reports later, we realized that reform doesn’t make us safer: it sustains police violence. But, none of this work was in vain.

By organizing alongside communities most impacted by policing, we learned that a world without police is not only within reach—across this country, it’s already being built.

Now, our organization is evolving—to harness the power of community and technology and help people reimagine safety altogether.

We’re building The PATCH Network—an unprecedented, nationwide network of mobile crisis teams, health and social services, and abolitionist organizations responding to crises with care, not violence. And to supercharge their work, we’re developing a bold alternative to 911—a dispatching system that allows organizations to quickly provide critical care to neighbors in need.

Raheem is a Black-led, predominantly Black, and remote-first team of lifelong organizers and radical technologists committed to the future of community crisis response.
