About Us
Holy Family Services is a non-profit, freestanding birth center offering prenatal care, water birth, postpartum home visits, newborn care, STD testing, annual exams, prenatal classes, breastfeeding support, social work, and doula services. The birth center has a long legacy of nurse-midwifery that was started over 25 years ago by four Catholic sisters to provide services to the at-need population of the lower Rio Grande Valley and US/Mexico border region.
The Mission of Holy Family Services is to provide maternal and infant care within the context of the family. Services will be rendered in a God-centered atmosphere of compassion and love. Every individual, as God’s creation, has the right to safe, satisfying health care with respect for human dignity and cultural variations. The individual has the right to self-determination, to adequate information, and to achieve participation in all aspects of care.
