Eliot School of Fine & Applied Arts
The Eliot School inspires lifelong learning in craftsmanship and creativity for all. Our School Partnership Program sends teachers to classrooms, libraries and community centers throughout the city, and we offer classes in crafts and fine arts for all ages at our schoolhouse. Children's art classes take place after school, on weekends, and in our Summer Program for Children. A scholarship fund allows children from low-income households to participate free of charge.
Founded in 1676 as a grammar school, we turned our focus in the late 19th century to the manual arts. We are known today for our broad outreach, excellent faculty, welcoming atmosphere, small class size, and the charm of our historic site.
