  • About Us

MoGro is a growing nonprofit organization based in Albuquerque that is focused on linking communities, food and farmers in New Mexico. MoGro supports healthy eating and encourages the growth of sustainable and just food systems. We work with local farmers, producers, and suppliers to pack bags of healthy and local food that we deliver to our community partners each week. Logistics and operations are central to food systems work and we see this as our specialty. In 2022, MoGro purchased $260,000 of local produce from 20 small-scale, local farmers to provide 30,000 bags of fresh, healthy, local food to 25 organizations, tribal communities, schools, and healthcare institutions.

MoGro’s day-to-day work is rooted in operations. Four out of five days per week we source, purchase, aggregate, pack and distribute food to our partner organizations with whom we share values and a long-term vision. Through this, we are integrated into the work and goals of the small-scale farmers, schools, health clinics, and community organizations. With farmers, we work on logistics, pre-season crop planning, and strategies for scaling up our operations together. With partners like Presbyterian Community Health, we work to integrate food into preventative healthcare at all levels, from insurer to provider. With other partners like Central New Mexico Community College, we work to reduce food insecurity in their communities.

The MoGro team consists of four full-time and two part-time staff, a large group of dedicated volunteers, and a Board of Directors.
