American Lung Association in NJ

The American Lung Association in NJ is part of the Mid-Atlantic ALA and works for everyone living in NJ to achieve the highest level of lung health through research, advocacy and education. Our efforts support the PACNJ(Pediatric Asthma Coalition in NJ) which supports programs to educate child care workers from pre-school to school nurses and teachers and parents on how to manage asthma in children. Our N-O-T program works to end smoking among high school students. Our fundraising efforts support research and advocacy to accomplish care and cures for all avenues of lung disease and changes in the law that effect the air we breath and provide for a healthy environment for all of us. Lung cancer deaths are on the rise, with the rates among women reaching numbers above the number of deaths of patients with ovarian, breast and pancreatic cancer combined.
