    The Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) combines corporate, government and philanthropic resources to help community-based organizations revitalize underserved neighborhoods. Since 1980, LISC has raised more than $9.7 billion to build or rehabilitate more than 271,000 affordable homes and develop 40 million square feet of retail, community and educational space nationwide. For more information, visit www.lisc.org . There are 30 local offices nationwide as well as a Rural program. The Green Development Center is a national program that provides technical and financial assistance, financial assistance, while serving as a clearinghouse for information on best practices for green community development to the local offices and other national LISC programs.
