  • Mission

The Talking Information Center staff and volunteers provide human-voiced broadcasts of local news, articles and items of interest to visually impaired and otherwise disabled listeners throughout Massachusetts to promote independence and enrich quality of life.

    About Us

The Talking Information Center (TIC) is a radio reading service dedicated to the blind, visually impaired and otherwise print-impaired population of Massachusetts and beyond. Each week, approximately 200 volunteers enter our Marshfield studio to record programming from a wide variety of print-based sources. National and local newspapers, along with current affairs publications, consumer information, and community-based announcements comprise the bulk of our programming that runs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. TIC is always seeking volunteers with the ability, willingness, and versatility to lend their voices to our organization.
