District Montessori

  • About Us

District Montessori is an educational nonprofit and registered 501(c)(3) organization committed to enriching the lives of children and to supporting parents in the District of Columbia by using the Montessori method of instruction. We serve children between 15 months and 6 years of age, and we offer quality Montessori toddler and primary programs that support and nurture each child's love of learning.

Our mission is to create an educational environment for toddler- and primary-age children to explore freely using the Montessori method of instruction; to support and empower parents in our community; and to help families nurture beneficial habits during the formative toddler and primary years. We are located in the heart of the Capitol Hill neighborhood of Washington D.C., near the Capitol South and Eastern Market metro stations.
