Trauma Intervention Programs (TIP) is a group of specially trained and thoroughly screened volunteers who provide emotional and paractical support to both victims of a traumatic event, and their families in the first few hours following a tragedy. The volunteers are called to crisis scenes by police officers, fire fighters, and emergency room personnel.
Trauma Interventtion Programs, Inc. is a national non-profit, tax-exempt organization. Sercices are provided to the victims and their families free of charge and made possible by donations from local goverment, businesses, and individuals.
The Southwest Riverside TIP Chapter was founded in 1993. Local volunteers are available to respond immediately to crisis situations on a 24/7/365 basis.
