  • About Us

The Coos Historical & Maritime Museum is operated by the Coos County Historical Society. It is the only regional-scale museum in Coos County. We encourage visitors to explore the diverse history of the people of the Coos region, especially as influenced by our remarkable landscape and waterways. The museum offers permanent and changing exhibits on a wide range of Coos historical topics, including Native American culture, maritime construction and shipwrecks, agriculture, mining, logging, pioneer tools and textiles. We build community partnerships with lectures, volunteers, school programs and student internships.
