Bethesda Cares is a multi-service organization focused on providing professional care for individuals experiencing homelessness, conducting Housing First practices to help people live successfully in the community, and preventing homelessness with Eviction Prevention resources. Our team includes a broad mixture of direct service professionals, advocacy champions, data enthusiasts, and social justice warriors! We believe in ending homelessness, creating a healthy workplace for our team, and celebrating our wonderful community! Our direct services include Permanent Supportive Housing, Rapid Rehousing, Street Outreach, Meal Services, Landlord Engagement, and Eviction Prevention. The Bethesda Cares supportive housing programs maintain a housing retention rate of 95% for clients moving off the streets into apartments and studio efficiency units. In 2025 Bethesda Cares set a new record for moving people off the streets and into permanent housing in the community. Our work as been featured in the Washington Post, The New York Times, and NPR.
