Art is the foundation of our world-there is no "Earth" without "Art." From a child’s first drawing to a dancer’s heartfelt performance, art is everywhere, yet inaccessible to many. The MDF addresses this by bringing the joy of the arts to diverse communities. Named after Shri Mahadeo Degwekar, a renowned Indian classical vocalist, MDF was founded by his granddaughter Pallavi Degwekar to honor his legacy through inclusive and culturally enriching programs. By promoting diverse art forms, supporting classical artists, and partnering with organizations, MDF fosters cultural awareness, arts education, and inspires future generations.

Our activities include community performances, engagement of senior citizens through music and dance, arts education sessions for underprivileged children, and collaborations with schools and cultural centers. Notable efforts include performances at senior centers in the U.S. and India, Diwali celebrations attended by the Edison, NJ mayor, and dance workshops for under-served youth. These efforts help us build cross-generational and cross-cultural bonds, while preserving tradition and advocating for the importance of creativity and art in everyday life. Through accessible programming and heartfelt outreach, MDF brings the joy of the arts to those who may not otherwise have access, staying true to our mission of inclusivity, empowerment, and cultural preservation.
