Street Yoga gives youth the tools to overcome trauma, through the sharing of life-building mindfulness and wellness practices grounded in the healing principles of yoga. We serve by helping them create a sense of true home in their own bodies, minds and communities.
We accomplish this in two ways:
Offering trauma-informed yoga and mindfulness classes at organizations that serve youth who have experienced Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs).
Equipping professionals who work with youth with trauma-sensitive tools for integrating yoga and mindfulness into their work.
