About Us

Give Your Time to Help Abused and/or Neglected Children!

The CASA Project has served abused and neglected children in Worcester County for over 35 years, and has remained true to its ultimate goal of assisting the Court with information critical to finding permanent, safe homes for our children. Our organization represents a unique partnership between the Courts, a not-for-profit agency, and community volunteers. Abused and neglected children in the court system have a right to a consistent advocate – a voice that is heard in court. The CASA Project recruits, trains and provides supervision and support of community volunteers who are appointed by a Worcester County Juvenile Court judge to serve as guardians ad litem. These volunteer advocates promote and protect the best interests of children involved in judicial proceedings. The CASA Project not only serves as an advocate for these children in the courts, but also throughout the human service system and in the community at large, advocating for needed therapeutic services on their behalf.
