About the Del-Mar-Va Council
The Del-Mar-Va Council provides Scouting opportunities throughout the Del-Mar-Va Peninsula, serving approximatley 388 units and over 4,500 volunteers who are delivering the promise to over 10,000 youth in traditional Scouting programs. An additional 1,500 youth are being served through the Learning for Life Division of the Council. The Council covers fourteen counties and is divided into 8 Scouting districts:
Cecil District -ServingCecilCounty,Maryland
Choptank District - Serving Dorchester, Queen Anne’s, Talbot,CarolineCounties,Maryland
Iron Hill District - Serving Bear, Delaware City, Middletown, Newark, New Castle, Odessa, and Townsend
Powder Mill District - Serving Claymont, Hockessin, Wilmington and Yorklyn
Sussex District –Serving Sussex County,Delaware
Tri-County District - ServingWorcester, Wicomico,Somerset Counties,Maryland
Two Bays District -ServingKentCountyDelaware,KentCountyMaryland and upper Queen Anne's County

Vision Statement
The Boy Scouts of America is the Delmarva Peninsula’s foremost youth program of character development and values based leadership training. In the future Scouting will continue to:
Mission Statement: It is the mission of the Boy Scouts of America and the Del-Mar-Va Council to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout oath and law.
Scout Oath: On my honor I will do my best To do my duty to God and my country and to obey the Scout Law; To help other people at all times; To keep myself physically strong, mentally awake, and morally straight.
Scout Law:A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean, and reverent.
