Our mission is to strengthen our community by enhancing the quality of other people's lives through the delivery of goods and services to those in need.
This includes the:
Good Neighbor Emergency Fund: provides emergency financial assistance for past due rent, utilities, etc., for those referred by other social services.
Ready to Learn program: provides our keiki with basic school supplies.
Community Clearing House: provides individuals and families in need with basic necessities, such as food, clothing, furniture, and basic household items. All of the items are distributed free-of-charge, and are provided through generous donations from the local community.
Bi-lingual Access Line: provides, on a fee for service basis, qualified interpreters and translators in approximately 17 primary languages, either on site or over the phone, twenty-four hours a day, and also provides referrals to 90 secondary languages.
Behavioral Health Programs: provides community based case management for the seriously mentally ill, access to recovery for individuals struggling with substance abuse, and money management services to consumers receiving government entitlements.
SNAP Outreach: provides information and assistance with SNAP (Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program) application forms, processes and appeals, putting healthy food within reach for low-income households.
