Oasis Family Resource Center

  • About Us

Founded in 1984, the OASIS Family Resource Center’s mission is to strengthen and safeguard the families in Wexford and Missaukee Counties. We do this by offering empowerment- and strength-based direct services for survivors experiencing domestic violence and sexual assault throughout a geographically large and rural area. Services include: emergency shelter, crisis intervention counseling, a 24-hour crisis hotline, support groups, survivor advocacy, transitional housing, and community education on the dynamics and prevention of interpersonal violence. OASIS also operates the Family Resource Center (FRC) and the Second Chance resale store. The FRC provides parenting classes, resource material and in-home parent education services.
