  • About Us

Since 1974, NACME has provided leadership and support for the national effort to increase the representation of successful African Americans, American Indians and Latinos in engineering, technology, and the physical sciences. NACME provides research and policy leadership on factors impacting minority participation in engineering, publishes print and web-based materials to increase that participation and to keep the issue on the national radar screen, provides a menu of training services under a diversity umbrella, and is the nation's largest private source of scholarships for minorities in engineering. Since 1974, more than 15 percent of all minority engineering grads have received NACME support.
