About Us

The YMCA of Metropolitan Dallas is the largest human care organization in Dallas, established in Dallas in 1885. The Dallas YMCA consists of 23 branches, with an additional two camps, Camp Grady Spruce and Collin County Adventure Camp. The Dallas YMCA serves 7 counties and operates an additional 102 program sites.

Mission: To put Christian values into practice through programs that build healthy spirit, mind and body for all.

Vision: The YMCA will be the premier human development agency in North Texas to teach values to kids; to strengthen and support families; to help teenagers make the transition into adulthood; and create safe environments that allow individuals to develop total health.

Values: We accomplish our mission through programs that build character. We build character by teaching and demonstrating positive values. Our values embrace the universal truths inherent in relationships with others: Caring, Honesty, Respect and Responsibility.
