  • Mission

To provide children affected by a parent's cancer with a supportive, lifelong camp opportunity that recognizes and understands their unique needs.

    About Us

Camp Kesem at Emory University is a college student-run summer cmp that serves the special needs of children with a parent who has or has had cancer. A great group of student leaders volunteer their time throughout the year to organize, plan and fund every aspect of our week-long camp program.

Camp Kesem will be held July 21-26 at Camp Cherokee in White, Georgia. It will open its arms to 50 Georgia area campers. Camp Kesem is a secular camp serving all children regardless of race, religion, or background. The 6-13 year olds and teens 14-16 who attend this week-long camp will have the unique opportunity to develop friendships with peers facing similar challenges, build confidence and gain a support network of over 20 caring, well-trained volunteers....a gift that lasts far beyond their week at camp!
