Castaways Pet Rescue, Inc.

Castaways Pet Rescue (CPR) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, animal welfare organization dedicated to community spay/neuter assistance, to community education on responsible pet care, and to facilitating adoptions of the stray and abandoned animal population.

Our, small grassroots, 100% no-kill rescue is located in an impoverished community on the coast in Southeast Georgia. This area has a tremendous need for animal welfare education in our local schools as well as spay/neuter assistance. It is not uncommon to see dogs chained to trees with no water or food, nevermind shelter. Castaways mainly receives animals from local county-funded, open-admission shelters that consistently need space to prevent euthanisia. We are donor funded and struggle daily to make ends meet. All of our work is done by volunteers and no-one gets paid.
