American University of Nigeria (AUN) is the first private, American Style university in Nigeria. AUN opened its doors to its first class of students in the Fall 2005 semester. AUN has, within the past five years of its establishment, emerged as the country’s most preferred university. Located in Yola, Adamawa State, North-eastern Nigeria, the university was conceived in response to the need for a world-class university in sub-Saharan Africa. It now has over 1400 students enrolled in programs offered in the three schools: the School of Arts and Sciences, the School of Business and Entrepreneurship, and the School of Information Technology and Computing.
