New Bedford Women's Center Inc. d/b/a The Women's Center

The mission of The Women's Center is "to empower and support positive choices for all, and to educate and take action in the community for the prevention of oppression and violence."

The Women's Center offers free and confidential services to victims/survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. Our 24-hour hotline is supported by two emergency shelters, a specialized shelter for women, and safe homes, peer counseling, support groups, and education and outreach to the community. Our Child and Adolescent Trauma Program provides counseling to children who have witnessed or been a part of violence or sexual assault. This program services non offending parents as well. All services are free and confidential.
