Glen Helen Outdoor Education Center of Ohio
Glen Helen is the oldest Environmental Education Center in the midwest, founded in 1954. We offer visits for schools bringing 40-100 kids to our center each week for four days of overnight immersive environmental education. We host 2,000 school kids, age 8-10, over the course of the year. Our kids come from every part of central Ohio: Inner-city urban, rural and suburban. We use a holistic blend of learning strategies; science, community, play, art, music, adventure, curiosity and mentoring to connect kids to nature and support their learning and development. The Outdoor Education Center is situated in 1000 acres of healing forest in central Ohio.
